Update X (Software Update) |

| 1) Click on System Preferences in your dock. If it isn't there, go the Apple Menu and select System Preferences
2) Click on Software Update 3) Click Check Now 4) Read directions if provided. 5) Click the checkboxes next to the ones you want to install - usually just clicking all of them is a good idea 6) Click the install button. Some downloads are large and make take quit a while. If you are using a modem, you may just want to do 1 at a time depending on size. |

| If there are updates you never want to install, such as a foreign language update, click it one time, go to the Update Menu and select Make Inactive. That way it won't keep showing up as an update. | |||||||||
